The John R. McCune ​Charitable Trust (Charitable Trust) accepts online grant applications from nonprofit organizations that are defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in the areas of secondary & higher education, health care, and social/human services. 

The majority of grants authorized by the Charitable Trust are Board driven, although unsolicited inquiry letters may be considered if the organization is located within southwestern Pennsylvania. 

The Charitable Trust makes no grants to individuals, pledges beyond one year, or funds organizations located outside of the United States.
